First Year of Champions to be Honored at An Evening in the Gardens

On Friday, July 21st, during An Evening in the Gardens, Mayor Jess Alumbaugh will present Certificates of Appreciation to the Champions he has recognized throughout one full year. The City of Marion began naming “Champions”…individuals who have displayed outstanding servant leadership or extraordinary achievement…beginning in July of 2016 shortly after the City adopted the new slogan, “City of Champions.”

The Bridge Cafe will Bridge the Dining Gap in Downtown Marion

Next spring, the popular farm-to-table Bridge Cafe in Upland will open a second location in Downtown Marion. The setting at 714 South Adams Street will also serve as a community gathering center offering counseling resources and other opportunities for artisans, students, and more. City, Main Street Marion, and More Partners Clean Out Former Wolfe Building

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Main Street Marion and all of the partners who initiated and cleaned out the former Wolfe Building (which we currently own) on the downtown square to make it marketable.

Thanks to Main Street Marion, Indiana Landmarks, God's House Marion, Carey Services, Afena FCU, Marion Municipal Utilities, Associated Supply Inc, and our individual volunteers who made this happen at no cost to the City.
